Great warm welcome, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice as you’d expect from a Mercure. The location was great for us, away from the town but close enough to get in, easy access and parking and a few minutes walk to the boats where you hop on to visit the islands. If you did want to walk into town it’s not that far and a lovely walk too.

Location was excellent for us. The room was very much on the small size and the paint needed retouching in places. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fine. However, the water in both the washbasin and the shower tray took a long time to go away. The staff were very friendly. We ate once in the restaurant during our four night stay. The food was excellent.

Nice place to stay. About a 20 to 30 minute walk to the historic town centre. Flat walk though along the canal

For a high end hotel towels small. Wash solution only. No shampoo or body lotion etc. Quite basic really. Bed beautiful and tv of good quality. Would have been nice to have something in English apart from the BBC news on the tv. Restaurant food expensive and poor quality although the staff were great. Disappointing considering the price.
